I study Europe as a globally entangled and internally uneven space, shaped by empire, decolonisation, migration, socialist internationalism, and the circulation of knowledge.
My work begins from Central and Eastern Europe—not as Europe’s margin, but as a vantage point from which its shifting boundaries, political asymmetries, and relations with the wider world become visible.
As a humanities scholar, Vice-Rector for Research at Nicolaus Copernicus University, and Vice-President of YERUN, I connect historical inquiry with contemporary debates about universities, research security, and Europe’s future.
